All of my dolls stand without the aid of a doll stand, as to all properly constructed AG dolls. Those dolls which previously had loose limbs have been restrung, so they don't need stands. I actually HATE doll stands and believe my dolls would find them extremely uncomfortable.

How would they ever dance around and play when I am not there if they were locked into doll stands?

Taffy's right. They should stand up on their own.

I hate the fact that I often keep my prized white-bodied Kirsten on a stand, but I?m terrified something will happen to her. She?s a bit more loose than anyone else and she tends to flop over. Whenever I can get down to Charlotte to see AsianAG, I?ll have her string her up a bit tighter. My other eight (Addy is en route!) can stand up just fine unassisted, even though Olivia has one leg a bit shorter than the other (again I hope AsianAG can help her!).

Here lately I?ve been keeping Kirsten in the AG wheelchair. Maybe the other girls will be kind enough to push her around to join in the fun.

I bought some cheaper stands on ebay.. I think I got like 8 of them.. they are white and have the plastic protection on the top and work very well, considering I paid the same for all of them as I would have buying 1 doll stand plus shipping from AG!

Thanks for all the replys I now have to go and see if Felicity will safely stand on her own right now she is just in her socks I hope shoes don't matter. For all of you who pose your dolls none of you use stands?

Taffy will probably have me arrested for doll abuse, but my poor girls spend most of their time "hibernating" in their boxes. Right now I have no place to display them, and I think it would make my boyfriend reeeally uncomfortable to have them out all the time. That said, when they do get to come out to play, the do so sans stands. Even my loose-limbed Lindsey (try saying that five times fast!) stands well enough on her own to pose for pictures. However, if I were to leave them out all the time, I'd probably use stands for fear of them falling over.

    Question

    Hi Everyone,
I have been looking at all of your wonderful albums and am wondering do any of you use doll stands or do your dollies stand up without any aid? I will be having my second AG Christmas my first was when I was 7 and I only got books but I finally got Felicity for my 25 birthday and I know my Mom and Aunts have gotten her new clothes and I really want to show them off.Felicity is currently on a stand and I was wondering if she can stand unaided. Only a few more days to wait until Christmas and lots of little boxes under the tree for me!

All of our dolls stand on their own, but when I am trying to pose them for a group picture like my current signature picture, they sometimes topple each other over. So, I have to have a few of the loose limbed girls stand in a stand or sit in a chair, etc. I don't like the way they look in the stand as much, so I try to hide the stand. For example, Marisol is in a stand, but her feet are hidden.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's just what I do, Judi! I often pose group shots or action shots where my girls might tip over without a stand, but most of them can easily stand on their own.

I guess it depends to where you keep them....I have my LE on stands just because all my AG are on a book shelf and they are on the top....I have this fear something will bump the shelf and they fall...and the eeek!!!
